Terms And Conditions
Thank you for choosing Etrip Car Rental! By utilizing our services, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. Please take a moment to read through them, as they contain important information regarding your rental agreement, responsibilities, and rights.
Definitions:
- Owner: Etrip Car Rental, located at Mahé, Seychelles. (Hereafter referred to as “Etrip Car Rental”).
- Renter: Any person or entity renting a vehicle from Etrip Car Rental.
- Driver: The individual who will operate the vehicle, whether the Renter or someone authorized by the Renter.
- Additional Driver: Any authorized person listed on the rental agreement as an additional driver.
- Unauthorized Driver: Any individual not named in the rental agreement, who is prohibited from driving the vehicle.
- Third Party: Anyone outside of the Renter, Driver, Additional Driver, or Etrip Car Rental, such as pedestrians or other involved parties in incidents.
- Vehicle: The car specified in the rental agreement provided by Etrip Car Rental for the agreed rental period.
- Rental Start: The date and time the vehicle is collected by the Renter.
- Rental End: The date and time the vehicle is returned to Etrip Car Rental.
- Pickup/Return Location: The designated Etrip Car Rental office or location for collecting and returning the vehicle.
- Rental Agreement: The legal contract between the Renter and Etrip Car Rental that details the terms and conditions of the vehicle rental.
General Rental Conditions:
By reserving and collecting a vehicle, the Renter acknowledges the following terms:
- Age and License Requirement: The Renter must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license for at least one year. The license must cover the category of the vehicle being rented.
- Payment Guarantee: A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee payment of the rental fee and any potential damages or additional charges.
- Identification: The Renter must provide valid identification (e.g., passport, driver’s license) at the time of vehicle collection. Etrip Car Rental may retain copies for internal purposes.
- Corporate Rentals: If the Renter is a business or legal entity, the individual collecting the vehicle must be authorized to act on behalf of the business, and both the business and individual will be responsible for adhering to these terms.
Reservation Process:
To reserve a vehicle, the Renter may:
- Visit our website at www.etripcarrental.com or contact us via email or phone.
- The Renter will need to select the pickup and drop-off dates, location, vehicle type, and any additional extras (such as GPS or a child seat).
- After entering personal and payment details, the Renter must accept our Terms and Conditions.
- Once confirmed, the Renter will receive a confirmation email with details about the rental period, vehicle, and total cost. The reservation number serves as proof of the agreement.
Modification And Cancellation Policy:
- Modification: The Renter may modify the reservation up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of the rental. Modifications are subject to vehicle availability and may result in additional charges depending on the rental duration or vehicle category.
- Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the rental start date to avoid penalties. Cancellations within 24 hours of the rental start time may incur a fee equivalent to one day’s rental cost.
- No-Show: If the Renter does not collect the vehicle within 3 hours of the scheduled time without prior notification, the reservation will be canceled, and the Renter will incur a no-show fee.
Rental Rates And Payment Terms:
- Basic Rental Price: The standard rental rate includes the use of the vehicle, VAT, and third-party liability insurance.
- Additional Charges: Optional services like GPS, child seats, additional drivers, or insurance packages are charged separately. Extra fees may apply for late returns, fuel charges, one-way rentals, or vehicle returns at a different location than originally agreed.
- Payment Methods: Etrip Car Rental accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and others). Payment must be made at the time of vehicle collection or in advance.
- Full Day Rate:
- Any booking with a drop-off time more than 4 hours after the scheduled pick-up will be charged as a full day rental.
- Hourly Rate:
- If the vehicle is returned within 3 hours of the scheduled time, an additional charge of EUR 10 per hour will apply.

Vehicle Pre-Authorization:
Etrip Car Rental does not take deposits or pre-authorizations on credit or debit cards. However, the Renter remains fully responsible for any damages, fuel surcharges, or traffic fines during the rental period. If Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is selected, liability will be limited, but exclusions such as damage to tires, rims, undercarriage, interior, or glass will still apply.
Vehicle Collection And Return:
- Vehicle Collection: The Renter is required to inspect the vehicle upon collection and report any pre-existing damages. Signing the rental agreement confirms that the vehicle is in good condition.
- Vehicle Return: The vehicle must be returned in the same condition and with the same fuel level as at the time of collection. Additional fees apply for vehicles returned with less fuel or excessive damage.
- Late Returns: If the vehicle is not returned by the agreed time, additional rental charges, late fees, and administrative costs may apply.
- After-Hours Returns: Returning a vehicle outside office hours is possible with prior arrangement and may involve an additional fee.
Vehicle Use:
The Renter agrees to the following conditions:
- Proper Use: The vehicle must be driven responsibly, in accordance with local traffic laws, and may not be used for commercial purposes, towing, racing, or illegal activities.
- Authorized Drivers: Only the Renter, listed Drivers, and Additional Drivers are authorized to drive the vehicle. Unauthorized driving is prohibited.
- Security: The vehicle must be parked securely, locked when unattended, and all safety features must be activated. The Renter is responsible for any loss or theft due to negligence.
- Prohibited Activities: The vehicle cannot be used for off-road driving, transporting goods or passengers beyond the vehicle’s capacity, or for any illegal activities.
Insurance And Liability:
- Basic Coverage (CDW):
- Small Cars: EUR 950
- Mini SUV: EUR 1450
This coverage limits the Renter’s liability for damage to the vehicle, excluding damage to tires, rims, undercarriage, interior, or glass.
- Medium Coverage (CDW):
- Small Cars: EUR 480
- Mini SUV: EUR 775
This coverage offers a lower excess, reducing the Renter’s liability for damage to the vehicle, excluding the same parts as the basic coverage.
- Best Coverage (CDW):
- Small Cars: EUR 250
- Mini SUV: EUR 390
This is the lowest excess option, providing the best protection against damage, excluding tires, rims, undercarriage, interior, and glass.
- Exclusions: Insurance does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, or illegal activities. The Renter will be fully liable for any damage in these cases.
Traffic Violations And Damage Reporting:
- Traffic Violations: The Renter is responsible for all traffic and parking violations incurred during the rental period. An administrative fee may be charged for handling fines.
- Accident Reporting: In case of damage, accident, or theft, the Renter must immediately report the incident to Etrip Car Rental and local authorities. A police report is required for accidents involving third parties or theft.
- Repairs: Unauthorized repairs by the Renter are prohibited without prior approval from Etrip Car Rental.
Limitation Of Liability:
- Renter’s Responsibility: The Renter is accountable for all damages, losses, and costs arising from improper use, negligence, or breach of the rental terms.
- Etrip Car Rental’s Liability: Etrip Car Rental is not responsible for any personal property left in the vehicle, nor for any indirect damages incurred by the Renter during the rental period.
Termination Of Agreement:
Etrip Car Rental reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately in case of a breach by the Renter. In such cases, Etrip Car Rental may repossess the vehicle without notice and charge the Renter for related costs.
Governing Law And Jurisdiction:
This agreement is governed by the laws of Seychelles. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seychelles courts.
